Bloxham Grove Academy is a newly-established free school in Oxfordshire, catering to 100 students aged 7 to 18 with cognitive and learning needs, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, and Autistic Spectrum Condition.
Operated by the Gallery Trust, the school opened its doors in January 2024, providing a specialised and supportive learning environment designed to meet the unique needs of its students.
From the outset, the project emphasised collaboration, engaging with stakeholders including parents, students, and the local community. This proactive approach ensured that the school's development was guided by a commitment to inclusivity and responsiveness to diverse needs. Open dialogue with the school's staff, headteacher, and future students during site tours fostered strong relationships and reinforced the focus on delivering a shared vision.
The team’s recognition of the project’s unique requirements allowed for a tailored approach that celebrated the school’s individual objectives. This ensured the creation of inclusive, nurturing environments that effectively address a wide range of needs presented by its students.
Bloxham Grove Academy stands as a model for how collaboration and a deep understanding of specific educational requirements can shape a school that supports and uplifts its community.
