Galliford Try Building Southern’s Zak Scarborough has been crowned this year’s Construction News (CN) Workforce Awards Apprentice of the Year.
The CN Workforce Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of those striving to make the construction industry and their organisations great places to work.
Zak, a Trainee Technician, was recognised for his contribution to consistently demonstrating remarkable dedication and attention to detail. Throughout his apprenticeship, Zak has demonstrated not just technical proficiency but also an admirable ability to identify and communicate essential improvements during FieldView operations. His commitment to quality and operational efficiency has made a notable difference in the team’s performance.
Judges praised Zak for showcasing his “excellence in technical skills and community contributions” and noted his “innovative thinking” and ability to exceed expectations through “creative initiatives and social value achievements”.
