Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial business has celebrated the topping out ceremony for the first Build-to-Rent (BtR) building at the Brent Cross Town regeneration scheme.
Designed by Squire and Partners, the development is being delivered as part of a joint venture between Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate, the global real estate investment manager, formed at the end of 2022 to deliver £600m of Gross Development Value at Brent Cross Town in partnership with Barnet Council.
Located on Neighbourhood Square in the heart of the town centre, it will feature 249 new rental homes alongside residents’ amenities over three new blocks, just a short walk from the new Brent Cross West station, which connects passengers to central London in just 12 minutes.
The topping out reflected the fantastic progress on the scheme so far, with dignitaries from Related Argent joining the Galliford Try team to celebrate with a ceremonial filling of the hole with cement by John German, Managing Director of Residential Investments for Invesco.
Also underway is Galliford Try's development on plot 14, which will feature 286 apartments with a range of amenities for residents.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial, said: “It was a pleasure to celebrate the topping out ceremony with Related Argent, and the stakeholders involved. We are proud to be a part of the ongoing Brent Cross Town regeneration project that is adding much-needed homes to the area and bringing new life to this part of London, to the benefit of the wider community.”
