Galliford Try’s Building business has been named as Contractor of the Year at the annual Education Estates Awards in Manchester.
The awards celebrate the successes of those involved in building educational facilities over the past 12 months, as part of the wider Education Estates conference and exhibition, which is partnered by the Department for Education.
Galliford Try was named Contractor of the Year for the third time at the awards, recognising the success of the business, with particular emphasis this year on the strides the business has made in producing Net Zero Carbon in Operation schools for the Department for Education, as well as continuing the business’s strong track record in Special Educational Needs and Disability facilities.
The business had received further nominations for the Lancaster University School of Maths project in the Project of the Year – Colleges and Pupil/Student Experience categories.
Galliford Try’s Education Director Claire Jackson, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised by the judges for Education Estates in this way. Our teams throughout the UK have produced some amazing educational facilities over the past 12 months, demonstrating our desire to retain our status as one of the leading contractors in the sector, and continue to deliver for staff and students around the country.”
