Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial business has successfully completed the 127 Charing Cross Road project, officially handing it over to client Nomura Real Estate Development, and development manager Lothbury Investment Management.
Situated at 127-133 Charing Cross Road, the project involved the partial demolition of the existing structure and the subsequent construction of a new four-storey extension, creating an eight-storey mixed-use development.
The renovated office space, classified as Category A, will significantly modernise the former 1970s’ building. The development will increase the total area to 78,523 sqft featuring enhanced retail and leisure spaces on the ground floor and part of the basement, with direct access to Charing Cross Road.
Additionally, the project boasts dedicated facilities for tenants and a spacious rooftop terrace that offers stunning views of the West End.
Set to achieve BREEAM Outstanding, as well as being Smart Spaces enabled, WiredScore and SmartScore Gold and ActiveScore Platinum certified, 127 Charing Cross Road is an environmentally conscious development that has been designed to blend seamlessly with the existing and developing urban landscape, positively contributing to the Soho Conservation Area.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial, remarked: "We are proud to complete this project, which represents not only a significant upgrade to the surrounding area but also our commitment to sustainable and innovative design. This development will surely enhance the local community and provide an exceptional environment for businesses and visitors alike."
