Galliford Try’s Environment business has established a partnership with Additive Catchments as part of its commitment to enable more sustainable decision-making.
Through the arrangement, Galliford Try will adopt the use of smart sensors, big data, earth observation and AI-powered digital twins to help clients make more informed and sustainable decisions about the environment. The monitoring systems involves comprehensive data collection and analysis from water catchment areas, including factors such as water quality, quantity, pollution levels, and run-off, providing a robust basis for sustainable management decisions, pollution mitigation, enhanced risk management and optimised investment outcomes.
The additional capability will support water companies to comply with the monitoring requirements set by the Environment Act 2021, providing a more cost-effective solution than traditional methods.
Steve Slessor, Managing Director of Galliford Try’s Environment, said: “Galliford Try is thrilled to partner with Additive Catchments to deploy their ground-breaking solution. We believe the comprehensive data generated holds immense potential for transforming water companies’ management of their assets, building on our Source to Sea approach across capital delivery, maintenance, and asset optimisation, supporting clients’ needs to address an ageing asset base, as well as their environmental objectives.”
