Two Galliford Try employees have been nominated for this year’s Ex-Forces in Business Awards, a celebration for former service personnel in the world of work, recognising the value that veterans add to businesses.
Chosen out of a record-breaking 800 nominations, Dean Williams, Regional Health, Safety and Environment Manager, has been shortlisted for Role Model of the Year, and Keith Dent, Regional Health, Safety and Environment Manager for Galliford Try’s Environment business, has been put forward for Team Leader of the Year.
Galliford Try is committed to the development of ex-military personnel in our organisation, having pledged a commitment to The Armed Forces Corporate Covenant since 2016 and through working in partnership with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support leavers to transition into a civilian career.
Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: "Congratulations to Dean and Keith on their excellent achievements as finalists for this year's awards. Being a people-orientated company, we value the experience and skills of ex-military personnel and the value they bring to our industry and community. We are proud to be an ex-military-friendly company with a commitment to ex-military personnel. I wish them both the best of luck at the awards.”
The winners will be announced on 29 June 2023 at London Grosvenor House Hotel.
