Galliford Try maintains B rating from CDP for climate action

Galliford Try has received its annual update from CDP, maintaining its B grade score, which signifies that a company has recognised its environmental impact and is actively working to manage it, demonstrating good environmental management practices.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure system for organisations to assess their impact and take urgent action to build a truly sustainable economy. The CDP score is used by a range of stakeholders including clients, investors, and our supply chain.

Galliford Try were elevated to a B grade for 2023 and has maintained that score for 2024 through a range of measures as it continues to make progress towards its target of achieving net zero emissions within its own operations by 2030, and across its whole value chain by 2045.

Milestones this year have included: 

  • Reducing the business’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions by a further 2.5% year on year.
  • Publishing the Group’s first net zero route map.
  • Achieving the PAS 2080:2023 Carbon Management in Buildings, Infrastructure and Product/Material supplier.
  • Further increasing the electrification of its company car fleet, with 93% of vehicles now electric or plug-in hybrid
  • Increasing the proportion of electricity purchased on certified renewable tariffs to 86%.
