Galliford Try Inclusion Lead Jackie Anyango has been named Inspirational D&I Leader by d&i Leaders, a global community of more than 15,000 senior diversity, equity, inclusion and HR professionals who are dedicated to accelerating workplace change.
As part of the d&i Leaders Global Benchmarking Survey 202, 446 international diversity, equity and inclusion professionals from 28 countries were asked which diversity and inclusion leader they were most inspired by.
Jackie was named within the list of 100 individuals that were nominated, featuring among peers from Amazon, Meta, Nike, BBC, Bloomberg and Unilever.
Jackie, who joined Galliford Try in 2023, has been an advocate in the EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) arena for more than seven years. As part of her role at Galliford Try, Jackie along with her team, is leading on the delivery of education and training programmes to ensure the organisation remains an inclusive workplace for all.
Highlights from the last year include the development of an Inclusive Leadership programme which 55% of Galliford Try’s senior leaders have participated in so far. The programme aims to equip senior management with knowledge of how EDI influences business performance, and provide them with skills to progress a culture of inclusion that contributes to high performance.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Jackie said: “Being nominated by my peers is one of the highest tributes possible and I am truly stunned and humbled to feature next to some incredibly talented individuals, all of whom I congratulate.”
Group HR Director Vikki Skene added: “EDI is exceptionally important to us as a people-orientated, progressive organisation and I am delighted that Jackie’s passion, enthusiasm and dedication to this area has been acknowledged. I would like to commend Jackie on her accomplishment as we continue our focus in this crucial area of work.”
