Galliford Try has welcomed its 2024 Early Careers cohort with an event to celebrate the arrival of the new talent across the business.
The two-day welcome brought together new apprentices, graduates and trainees from across the country, offering them the opportunity to network, learn about the business, and engage with senior leaders including CEO Bill Hocking, CFO Kris Hampson, Divisional Managing Director for Infrastructure David Lowery and HR Director Vikki Skene.
Attendees participated in workshops, team-building activities and discussions aimed at helping them transition smoothly into their new roles. The event highlighted Galliford Try’s ongoing commitment to nurturing new talent and supporting their development within the industry.
Bill Hocking, Chief Executive for Galliford Try, commented: "Our Early Careers members represent the future of Galliford Try and our Sustainable Growth Strategy, and it’s great to see such passion and energy from our new starters. As part of our commitment to Grow Together, we are dedicated to giving them the tools and opportunities to thrive and help us continue to deliver success across the business."
Earlier this year, Galliford Try was ranked the number one company for apprentices and number two for graduates TheJobCrowd’s league tables for construction and civil engineering companies. The Group is also one of just 20 organisations to achieve Platinum Membership of The 5% Club, for its approach to employees in ‘earn and learn’ positions.
