A suite of educational and practical resources developed by Galliford Try has been endorsed by the Department for Education (DfE) for use within their supply chain.
The initial release of video explainers and accompanying digital tools, is designed to assist the DfE's supply chain in understanding and implementing some of the most comprehensive digital requirements based on Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and ISO 19650 standards, helping improve data quality and removing knowledge barriers around IFC, which remains a significant challenge for many.
Galliford Try’s Digital Solutions Lead, John Ford, played a pivotal role in developing these resources, leveraging his expertise in the latest information management solutions and standards. Comprising a series of video explainers with more to come, the resources serve as informative guides for navigating the intricacies of data requirements in the latest DfE Information Management Resources.
The resources have now been endorsed by the DfE underscoring the effectiveness and value of Galliford Try’s collaborative approach, with the belief that sharing resources and hosting training sessions with the wider supply chain will drive industry-wide best practices and enhance project outcomes for the sector.
John Ford commented: “At Galliford Try, we believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge exchange. Our commitment to providing valuable resources extends beyond our organisation to benefit our clients and industry peers alike. With information requirements becoming increasingly digital and standards-based, it's important we work together to increase our knowledge and digital solutions so that we can play a part in how the future is shaped.”
Galliford Try invites all stakeholders within the DfE's supply chain to leverage these adopted resources and contribute to their development collaboratively.
