Galliford Try has reaffirmed its support for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity (LCIC), renewing its sponsorship and strengthening its dedication to mental health and wellbeing within the organisation and the construction sector.
Since 2021, Galliford Try has been an active supporter of the LCIC, advocating for mental health awareness both within the construction sector and across its various business units. The business’s longstanding 'Be Well' programme plays a central role in these efforts, offering a wide range of support services. These include mental health training for employees and supply chain partners, health check tools, advice lines, a robust Employee Assistance Programme, and access to Mental Health First Aiders.
Vicky Wilson, Wellbeing Lead for Galliford Try, said: “We take great pride in being a people-orientated business, acknowledging the importance of our employees' health and wellbeing, and are deeply committed to continuing our work in developing a positive culture towards mental health and wellbeing within our industry. In line with this commitment, we are honoured to continue our support for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, which tirelessly advocates for this cause.”
The LCIC is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families, offering a range of tools such as its free, confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline and helpline app, along with a number of free health, wellbeing and financial masterclasses each month, and accredited mental health awareness training.
