Galliford Try Building East Midlands has started work on Milton Keynes University Hospital’s multi-storey car park, building on the Group’s existing relationship with Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust.
The team undertook enabling works for the car park back in 2021, which transformed the area into a split-level surface car park, serving staff operating in the Angiography and Pathology Buildings under a first phase.
Work has now commenced on phase two which involves the construction of the £8.25m multi-storey car park, that will integrate three levels into the existing foundations of the surface level car park, enhancing parking capacity and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging capabilities for the continually expanding estate by boosting the overall capacity to 491 spaces.
Jon Marston, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building East Midlands, commented: "We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust as we deliver on phase two of the multi-storey car park. We look forward to seeing how this project will serve the community and contribute to the ongoing development of Milton Keynes University Hospital as a key healthcare provider in the region."
