Galliford Try’s Building West Midlands and South West team has been recognised at this year’s Constructing Excellence South West (CESW) Awards.

Winning the prize in the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) category, the Assembly C Scheme in Bristol was recognised for its innovative Design for Manufacture and Assembly hybrid frame solution.

This project utilised a combination of offsite manufactured structural steel and precast concrete components, along with in-situ reinforced concrete. Judges said that the project clearly demonstrated a kit of parts philosophy which could be used repeatedly and safely.

Additionally, Henry Walsh, Site Manager for Building West Midlands and South West, was shortlisted in the Generation 4 Change (G4C) Future Leader Award for the second time, following his win in 2018.

Simon Courtney, Managing Director for Galliford Try Building West Midlands and South West, commented: "I congratulate the team on this great accomplishment. This success reflects the collective effort and commitment of everyone involved."

The CESW awards celebrate exemplary projects that are diverse, collaborative and sustainable to produce a better built environment.
