Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial has been awarded the second phase of the restoration and redevelopment of the 7.5-acre Pimlico Estate.
This follows the successful partnership with AXA IM Alts and the Dolphin Square management team on the first phase of Dolphin Square and the estate-wide lift replacement programme.
The overall restoration is modernising the 795,990 sq ft development, creating over 1,200 high-quality private rental apartments along with enhanced amenities and leisure areas. Phase two focuses on refreshing six estate houses Keyes, Hood, Collingwood, Frobisher, Grenville and Drake encompassing 542 homes that range from studio to six-bedroom apartments, across nine storeys.
Key upgrades will include structural alterations and reconfigurations to optimise living spaces, repair of the façade with the replacement of 2,846 sash windows for better thermal performance, and upgrades to roof systems that include air source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels. The project aims for BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum ratings, working to retain and enhance historic features.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director for Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to undertake the second phase of works at Dolphin Square and continue our partnership with AXA IM Alts and the wider team in this major restoration project. The residential sector remains a key focus for our business, and I look forward to delivering high-quality homes for the residents of this landmark scheme.”
